Summer 2015, I had the pleasure to take part to this reconstitution of a courtly feast celebrating the battle of Marignano. This huge event, organised by a scientific institution (CESR, Tours, part of the project embedded in the program "Intelligence des Patrimoines"). Read here a scholarly blog post about the implication of researchers in the project.
Amongst scholars, professional actors, re-enactors and martial artists, we've re-given life of this festival given at court in 1518, after the (in)famous battle of 1515.
I had the armour of course, and I even broke a finger into the heat of the "battle". Watch this "behind the scene" video to have a taste.
